Le Van Hai, a popular TikTok influencer with 2.6 million followers, was arrested Monday in Ninh Binh province for selling counterfeit food and cosmetic products. Alongside his accomplice Tran Dai Phuc, Hai faces serious charges related to a large-scale counterfeit scheme.

Hai is a shareholder of Hai Be Co. Ltd., where Phuc serves as CEO. For the past two years, the duo promoted various cosmetic and food items through their TikTok channel, Hai Sen Family, including the widely advertised Hai Be Syrup, which claims to improve children’s appetite.

Authorities raided Hai’s company and confiscated hundreds of unlicensed cosmetic and food products. Laboratory tests revealed that the syrup contained less than 70% of the calcium and vitamins A and C claimed on its label.

Since last year, Hai and Phuc allegedly sold more than 800,000 counterfeit products online, with around 100,000 boxes of the syrup distributed to customers.

Following the investigation, the TikTok account Hai Sen Family has been locked. Police continue to probe the case.
