Doral, FL – A man accused of burglarizing multiple homes and vehicles in a quiet Doral neighborhood has been arrested, police confirmed Friday.
Lawrence Trevonne Young, 27, faces multiple felony charges including grand theft of a vehicle and burglary of an occupied structure following a string of early morning break-ins in the Ladings East community.
Authorities said that on Thursday, at least six vehicles were broken into by thieves who were seen on doorbell surveillance cameras walking through the neighborhood, checking for unlocked car doors.
According to Doral Police, Young was captured on security footage opening unlocked vehicles, rummaging through them, and using garage openers found inside to gain access to residential homes.
In a brazen move, Young is also accused of stealing a vehicle from the scene to escape.
Police were able to identify and apprehend Young based on surveillance footage and community tips.
He is currently facing several charges and remains in custody as the investigation continues.
