Labour Contractor Arrested for Murder of Labourers Mangala & Jagannath

Dispute over illicit relationship leads to double murder in Pimpri Chinchwad

In a disturbing incident in the Talawade area of Pimpri Chinchwad, a 56-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both labourers, were found bludgeoned to death. Following an investigation, police arrested their 49-year-old labour contractor, Dattatray Laxman Sable, for the murders.

The victims were identified as Mangala Tembhre, aged 30 and originally from Amravati district, and Jagannath Sarode, aged 56 from Akola. Both had relocated to Pune seeking work as labourers. The Dehu Road police revealed that the motive behind the killings was a dispute arising from an illicit relationship.

The accused, Dattatray Sable, hails from Ahilyanagar district and was arrested on Wednesday. Further investigations are underway to uncover more details about the case.
