Kyle McKinnon Arrested for Murder at Suffield Correctional Center

McKinnon faces murder and strangulation charges in Connecticut

SUFFIELD, CT – A 31-year-old man has been arrested for murder at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Connecticut.

According to Connecticut State Police, officers responded to a murder report on December 12, 2024, at the correctional facility. The suspect, Kyle McKinnon, allegedly admitted to the crime, leading to an approved arrest warrant.

On February 21, 2025, the warrant was served while McKinnon was already in custody on unrelated charges.

He now faces murder and first-degree strangulation charges and was held on a $1,000,000 bond. McKinnon was arraigned the same day at Hartford Superior Court.
