Krystina Thompson Pleads Guilty to Band Embezzlement

Woman admits stealing $40K from Southaven High Band

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Krystina Thompson has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $40,000 from the Southaven High Band boosters.

Thompson, who was involved in the band’s fundraising efforts, stole the funds over the course of 2024 and early 2025, authorities said.

She was formally charged in August 2025.

DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton announced Thompson’s guilty plea during a press conference on Thursday.
