Kristin Holmes-Tucker Charged in South Loop Shooting Incident

32-year-old woman faces aggravated battery charges after shooting

Kristin Holmes-Tucker, 32, has been charged following a shooting that seriously injured a 33-year-old man Saturday afternoon in Chicago’s South Loop, police said.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on the 700 block of South Financial Place. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in serious condition.

Holmes-Tucker was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated battery involving the discharge of a firearm. Police have not released details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting or the number of shots fired.

A detention hearing for Holmes-Tucker is scheduled for Monday as the investigation continues.
