Ridgefield, CT — Krista Luckenbill, 37, was arrested on January 30, 2025, after being extradited from Pennsylvania to face multiple felony charges linked to a 2023 vehicle theft in Ridgefield.

Luckenbill, a Reamstown, Pennsylvania resident, was implicated in the theft of a purse from an unoccupied vehicle near the Winter Ice Garden Arena on October 14, 2023. The purse, containing several personal items including credit cards and cash, was stolen while the victim was away from the vehicle.

Two days after the theft, the victim discovered fraudulent activity on her account, with over $2,700 withdrawn after the thief impersonated her and forged her signature. The criminal investigation connected Luckenbill to a larger criminal syndicate known as the Felony Lane Gang, which is notorious for stealing identities and cashing fraudulent checks.

In collaboration with New Jersey detectives, police found Luckenbill and another woman, Tanya Thomas, involved in similar crimes across several states. Video evidence and forensic items recovered during their arrests, including wigs and stolen IDs, further linked Luckenbill to these fraudulent activities.

Luckenbill, who has a criminal history spanning nearly a dozen arrests, faces charges of third-degree larceny, identity theft, forgery, and criminal impersonation. She pleaded not guilty during her arraignment and remains held on a $5,000 bond, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for Friday.
