ABERDEEN, N.C. — The Aberdeen Police Department has announced the arrest of Kourtney Moore, 29, of Cameron, in connection with the theft of a trailer containing over $70,000 worth of equipment.
The incident occurred on May 30 in the Legacy Lakes neighborhood of Aberdeen. Authorities responded to a report of a stolen trailer, which was later found abandoned in Harnett County on June 12—but without any of the original equipment.
As the investigation unfolded, detectives found an online listing for some of the stolen items. This led to the identification of multiple persons of interest, including Moore.
On June 26, Aberdeen investigators—working alongside the Moore and Harnett County Sheriff’s Offices—executed several search warrants, which resulted in the recovery of $116,490 worth of stolen equipment.
Subsequently, Moore was charged with felony conspiracy to commit larceny. She was located and arrested on June 28 by Montgomery County deputies. Moore appeared before a magistrate and received a $3,500 secured bond.
The case remains under active investigation by multiple agencies.
