Four people were arrested in Kolkata in connection with the killing of gangster Chandan Mishra inside Paras Hospital in Patna earlier this month. Among those arrested is the prime shooter, Tauseef Badshah, and his cousin, Nishu Khan.
The arrests took place during coordinated raids by Patna Police, Kolkata Police, and Special Task Forces from both states at multiple locations in Kolkata, including a guest house on Saturday evening.
Chandan Mishra was shot dead on July 11 while receiving treatment. Tauseef had been hiding in Kolkata since the murder. Despite his partial paralysis from a previous shooting, Nishu Khan aided the conspiracy and provided shelter to the gunmen.
Other arrested include Sachin Singh, alleged to have coordinated the escape; Harsh alias Harish Kumar, who conducted surveillance and accompanied the shooter prior to the incident; Bhim Kumar, whose role is under investigation; and Alpana Das, the sole woman arrested, whose specific involvement remains undisclosed.
