Koderma, Jharkhand — Police have arrested three people—including a married woman and her lover—in connection with the brutal murder of her husband, Govardhan Saw, alias Modi Saw, in Jamkatti village.
The 30-year-old victim’s body was found on Wednesday morning at Singardih playground, bearing severe injuries caused by a stone. Acting swiftly, the police formed a special investigation team, which arrested Govardhan’s wife Babita, her lover Ajay Paswan, and his cousin Aniket Paswan within 24 hours.
During interrogation, Ajay confessed to strangling Govardhan with a towel and crushing his head with a stone, following Babita’s instigation. Police said Babita and Ajay had been in a relationship for two years, and Babita alleged that Govardhan often came home drunk and abused her physically and mentally.
According to police, the trio lured Govardhan to Singardih, where Ajay and Aniket gave him alcohol before killing him. Babita also handed over her ATM card to Ajay to cover expenses related to the crime.
Police have seized key evidence, including the victim’s mobile phone, Babita’s ATM card, and the motorcycle used during the murder.
