Aberdeen Police have arrested 24-year-old Kobe McDuffie from Raeford, North Carolina, for allegedly stealing several hundred dollars’ worth of items from the Walmart store where he worked.
The theft, which occurred on April 11 and 12, 2024, was discovered after the store reported a suspected employee larceny. After reviewing security footage and collecting statements from witnesses, investigators confirmed McDuffie’s involvement in the crime.
On April 13, 2024, McDuffie was apprehended by police. During his arrest, officers found fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, in his possession. Additionally, McDuffie was wanted on felony warrants out of Lee County.
McDuffie is currently being held at the Moore County Detention Center, facing charges of larceny and drug possession. He has a secured bond of $10,000 for the charges out of Aberdeen and another $10,000 bond for the outstanding warrants from Lee County.
As the investigation continues, McDuffie remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
