Mark Whitley, a 43-year-old man from Kinston, was arrested on felony firearm and drug charges by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, December 5. Whitley faces charges of felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest followed a request for assistance from NC Probation and Parole regarding a possible violation involving firearms and drugs.
