The police have successfully dismantled a major online gaming fraud racket, arresting eight individuals linked to the scam. The accused include Pankaj Goswami and Gurpreet Singh from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan; Bhaven Kumar Ulke from Nagpur, Maharashtra; Manjeet Singh and Ajay from Tibbi, Rajasthan; Nikhil Kumar from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh; and Harsh Kumar and Ritesh Majhi from Madhya Pradesh.
Coordinated raids were carried out across residential complexes in Kharar, including Koiyaan City Homes, Gillco Valley, and Royal Apartments. Authorities seized five laptops, 51 mobile phones, 70 SIM cards, 127 bank ATM cards, and cash totaling Rs 2,50,000.
According to SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, the fraudulent operation was managed from two separate locations in Kharar. The gang lured victims from across India by promising high returns through online gaming apps, reportedly defrauding them of nearly Rs 18 crore.
The accused operated via the website allpanelexch.com, promoting it as a legitimate platform to earn profits through gaming. They enticed victims with fake demo earnings shown on WhatsApp and offered incentives to create user accounts. Victims were then directed to transfer large sums through various accounts under the guise of game investments.
Police continue to investigate and urge the public to remain vigilant against similar online scams.
