Kevante White Arrested for Huntington Double Homicide

Suspect faces first-degree murder charges in West Virginia

AKRON, Ohio — Authorities have arrested Kevante White, 27, of Akron, Ohio, in connection with a double homicide in Huntington, West Virginia, that occurred early Friday morning.

White was apprehended on Sunday in the Akron area by the United States Marshals Service, following an arrest warrant issued on Saturday after he was identified as the suspect in the shooting.

The victims, Adrian Phillips and Derious Johnson, were killed in the incident, and a third individual was injured and remains hospitalized in stable condition. White has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of malicious wounding related to the third victim.

He is currently held in a Stark County, Ohio, jail awaiting extradition back to West Virginia.
