Keshon Rivers Arrested in $1M Business Fraud Case

Owner allegedly used stolen funds for luxury purchases

by Sophia Bennett

A Broward County business owner was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stealing over $1 million from a company she frequently worked with, authorities said.

Keshon Litesha Rivers, 32, of Fort Lauderdale, is the owner of Lock and Key Designs LLC. Detectives say she exploited her business relationship with Event Décor Direct in Deerfield Beach to carry out fraudulent transactions over a three-month period in 2025.

Rivers reportedly created a fictitious individual to divert scrutiny and blamed the fraudulent charges on the nonexistent person. Investigators say she used the stolen funds to finance luxury purchases, including:

Over $85,000 in gold and diamond jewelry

A $55,000 private jet flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles

Mansion rentals in Miami Beach and Los Angeles totaling more than $43,000

The alleged fraud took place between May and August 2025. Records from the Florida Department of Corrections indicate that Rivers had previously been placed on felony probation in Polk County for fraud-related charges, scheduled to last until 2030.

Rivers was arrested on Wednesday and is being held without bond in the Main Jail. She faces charges of organized scheme to defraud, grand theft exceeding $100,000, and money laundering.
