Kerala Police Arrest Three in Payyannur MDMA Drug Bust

166.68 grams of MDMA seized from lodge in Payyannur crackdown

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Payyannur police in Kannur, Kerala, arrested three individuals after seizing 166.68 grams of MDMA from a lodge on the Perumba bypass road. The arrests took place late on Thursday night, March 27, as part of an ongoing effort to curb drug-related crimes in the region.

The accused individuals were identified as Mohammed Shamnad (35) from Kozhikode, and P.K.A. Asif (29) and Mohammed Muhad Mustafa (29) from Vadakkumbad, Ramanthali. Police officials said the suspects were in possession of the drugs when they were taken into custody.

Authorities have initiated further investigations into the matter, and the suspects are expected to face charges related to drug trafficking and possession.
