BOSSIER PARISH, La. – A Louisiana man is facing serious child sex abuse charges following an ongoing investigation by the Benton Police Department and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office Forensics Unit.
On August 12, 2025, authorities arrested Kenneth Wayne O’Briant after initial allegations of molestation of a juvenile were reported. He was booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility and released on a $25,000 bond.
As the investigation progressed, new evidence led to the issuance of additional arrest warrants.
O’Briant was re-arrested and now faces charges of:
First-Degree Rape
Child Grooming
He is currently being held at the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on a $1.3 million bond.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been released about the victim due to the sensitive nature of the case.
