Kenneth Wade Pleads No Contest in Tallahassee Vet Scam Case

Man sentenced after grand theft and animal cruelty charges

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Kenneth Wade, 33, a Tallahassee man previously arrested for posing as a veterinarian, grand theft, and animal cruelty, entered a plea deal on Thursday.

Wade faced up to five years in prison for practicing veterinary medicine without a license, multiple grand theft charges, and up to one year in jail for animal cruelty. However, he pleaded no contest to the charges.

Under the terms of the plea, Wade was sentenced to time served, followed by three months of probation, two years of community control, an additional nine months of probation, and 150 hours of community service.
