PRICEVILLE, Ala. — A Priceville man is facing multiple charges after being stopped by police late Saturday night.
According to the Priceville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop around 10:30 p.m. near Highway 67 and New Center Road. The driver, identified as 47-year-old Kenneth Brian Bates, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. During a further search, officers discovered cocaine in his possession.
Bates was arrested without incident and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and DUI (alcohol). He was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
Due to his existing criminal history and the fact that he was already out on bond in another county, a Morgan County Circuit Judge set his bond at $40,000.
