FRANKLINTON — District Attorney Collin Sims announced that on May 16, 2025, Kendrick Lampley, 48, of Bogalusa, was sentenced to 60 years in prison by Judge William H. Burris for distributing cocaine. Lampley’s sentence was significantly enhanced due to his status as a repeat offender, with over ten prior felony convictions.
In February, a Washington Parish jury found Lampley guilty on two counts of cocaine distribution. The prosecution was led by Assistant District Attorneys Le’Anne Malnar and Christina Fisher, while Sergeant Tyler Lindsey of the Bogalusa Police Department conducted the investigation.
Lampley’s criminal history includes violent crimes and drug offenses dating back to 2019, when he had six prior felony convictions. Despite being granted a taxpayer-funded intensive substance abuse treatment program as an alternative to prison, Lampley absconded in 2020 and resumed criminal activities.
His extensive record includes convictions for first-degree robbery, attempted robbery and burglary, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest with violence, possession of heroin and hydrocodone, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and distribution of imitation controlled substances.
