Suspect gave false name after attempted home break-in

Auburn Man Arrested for Attempted Burglary, Giving False Name

AUBURN, Ala. — On September 20, Auburn Police arrested 28-year-old Kendavious Lamarcus Williams on charges including attempted second-degree burglary and providing a false name to law enforcement.

Police responded to a call near the 2900 block of Sandhill Road regarding an attempted burglary. The victim reported that a suspect forcibly opened a door to enter the home while the residence was occupied. The suspect fled upon realizing someone was inside.

Shortly after the incident, officers found Williams walking near the scene. When detained, Williams initially gave a false name. Following further investigation, he was formally arrested and taken to Lee County Jail, where he is being held on a $4,000 bond.
