Keith Jerome Pegram Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Rutherford County

69-year-old faces multiple charges after search warrant uncovers large drug stash.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) arrested Keith Jerome Pegram, 69, on March 18 following a year-long investigation into narcotic tips regarding his residence at 208 Short Road in Ellenboro, N.C. Pegram was arrested after RCSO’s A.C.E. Team executed a search warrant, uncovering a significant drug stash.

Investigators seized the following items during the search:

93 grams of cocaine

450 grams of psilocybin mushrooms

45 grams of methamphetamine

264 dosage units of alprazolam

161 dosage units of amphetamine

87 dosage units of Suboxone

493 grams of marijuana

Drug paraphernalia, including digital scales and plastic baggies

$293 in U.S. currency

Pegram was charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking in amphetamine, methamphetamine, and cocaine, as well as other drug-related charges. He was also charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pegram’s bond was set at $800,000.
