D’IBERVILLE, Miss. — A large-scale drug bust in D’Iberville has resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of multiple narcotics, firearms, and cash, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Task Force, along with the D’Iberville Police Department, executed a search warrant on April 18 at a residence linked to Kavon Pridgen and Lakendra Evans, following an investigation that indicated the home was being used for drug trafficking operations.
Both Pridgen and Evans were arrested at the scene.
Kavon Pridgen faces multiple counts of aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $1,250,000.
Lakendra Evans was charged with similar counts of aggravated trafficking, and her bond was set at $1,000,000.
Authorities seized a substantial amount of illegal items from the home, including:
Over 1 pound of fentanyl
Over 1 pound of methamphetamine
Over 1 pound of cocaine
Approximately 2,000 MDMA (ecstasy) pills
10 firearms
Approximately $15,000 in cash
Officials have not yet released further details about the distribution network or whether additional arrests are expected. The case remains under investigation by local and federal agencies.
The Sheriff’s Office noted that the seizure represents a significant blow to drug trafficking efforts in the region, citing the deadly nature of fentanyl and the volume of illicit substances recovered.
