Katie Hacker, Kimberly Mitchell Charged in Poodle Theft

Tennessee women accused of stealing poodle from Cookeville home

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – After a month-long investigation, two women have been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of a poodle from a Cookeville residence.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Katie F. Hacker, 33, of Gainesboro, and Kimberly D. Mitchell, 53, of Walling, were taken into custody on June 30.

PCSO Detective Greg Etheredge began investigating the case on June 5 after a poodle named Bella was reported stolen from her owner’s home in Cookeville.

Both women are now facing charges related to the theft of the dog, and further details may emerge as the case proceeds through the legal system.
