In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a youth identified as Karthik has been arrested for flashing a homemaker and assaulting multiple people, including his own mother. The incident occurred on April 13 near the victim’s residence in the Shivajinagar area.
Karthik allegedly exposed himself to a woman who was walking on the second floor of her house. He not only made lewd gestures but also implied a desire for physical contact. The woman raised an alarm and called her husband. In response, Karthik launched a violent attack.
He assaulted the husband and proceeded to injure seven individuals using objects like hollow blocks, flower pots, and windowpanes. Three victims are in the ICU, battling serious injuries.
Police revealed that Karthik even attacked his own mother when she questioned his behavior. He was arrested and has since been sent to judicial custody. According to Shivajinagar police, Karthik is a habitual offender with a history of misbehaving with women.
In a separate but related incident, Santosh Daniel, 26, was arrested in Kerala after a viral video showed him sexually harassing two women in a Bengaluru locality during the early hours. The 17-second footage captured the women being followed, one of them pushed aside, and the other sexually harassed before the perpetrator fled.
Both cases highlight the growing concern over public safety and repeat offenders in urban neighborhoods.
