Celina, Texas — Authorities are investigating the murder of a woman at her home on Monday afternoon, with 53-year-old Karl Andrew Stanley of Plano being arrested in connection with the crime.
Police say Stanley broke into the victim’s residence on Seattle Slew Drive and attacked her. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stanley, who is known to have had a prior relationship with the victim, was arrested shortly after the incident and now faces a capital murder charge. Additionally, he is also facing charges of stalking.
Records indicate that Stanley was recently arrested on a criminal trespass charge, just days before the deadly attack. Investigators have not yet determined the motive behind the crime. Stanley remains in custody at the Collin County Jail.
