Hamilton, Ontario — A delivery driver from Brampton has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly attacking a customer inside their home, police confirmed.
The incident occurred on April 3 at an apartment building in Hamilton’s east end, near Barton Street East and Ottawa Street North. According to the Hamilton Police Service (HPS), the suspect entered the victim’s residence under the pretense of needing to use the restroom.
Once inside, he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before quickly leaving the apartment.
Following an investigation by the HPS Sex Crimes Unit, 29-year-old Karanvir Singh of Brampton was identified as the suspect. He was arrested on April 30 in Brampton and subsequently transported back to Hamilton. Singh is currently facing one count of sexual assault.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
