Kanthi Dutt, the head of Tritiya Jewelers, has been arrested by Hyderabad police on charges of defrauding high-profile celebrities, including Samantha, Keerthy Suresh, and fashion designer Shilpa Reddy, in a massive Rs100 crore scam. The fraud was allegedly orchestrated through Dutt’s venture, Sustain Cart.
The investigation began after Shilpa Reddy, the sister of actor Samrat Reddy, filed a complaint against Dutt, accusing him of deceptive business practices. Following this, other prominent figures, including Keerthy Suresh and Samantha, also came forward with complaints, leading the police to launch a detailed probe.
Sustain Cart, a business venture run by Dutt, is said to have attracted celebrities and investors with promises of lucrative returns. However, it is now revealed that over Rs100 crores were swindled from high-profile personalities, including Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra. Dutt allegedly lured the victims by offering them the chance to invest in the business with the guarantee of substantial profits, only for the funds to be misappropriated.
The Jubilee Hills police have gathered substantial evidence against Dutt and arrested him in connection with the scam. Authorities are now focusing on recovering the defrauded amounts and investigating further to identify additional victims connected to the scam.
