CARTHAGE, N.C. — Three people were arrested in Moore County following a drug raid in the Carthage area, according to Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
On August 28, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Wave Road. During the operation, investigators seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
As a result:
Kane Avonce, 29, of Carthage, was arrested and charged with:
Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Felony possession of cocaine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He was booked into the Moore County Detention Center on a 48-hour hold with no bond and will appear in Moore County District Court on September 18.
Christina Saunders, 43, of Carthage, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.
Susan Lira, 45, also of Carthage, was similarly charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and placed on a 48-hour hold with no bond. She is also due in court on September 18.
Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
