In a breakthrough in a long-pending murder case, Udupi police have arrested three individuals for their alleged involvement in the October 2023 murder of Kittur alias Siddappa Shivanappa Hubballi (48) in Moodanidamburu village.
The arrested men have been identified as:
Kanakappa Hanumanth Rodi (46)
Yamanur Thimmappa Marana Basari (24)
Yamanoorappa Jedi alias Rodi (26)
All three are residents of Kustagi taluk in Koppal district, Karnataka.
Siddappa Hubballi was found murdered under suspicious circumstances in Moodanidamburu village, prompting a detailed investigation by the local police. On Sunday, police confirmed that the trio was apprehended after months of tracing their movements and gathering evidence.
Authorities have not disclosed the exact motive behind the murder but stated that further investigation is ongoing.
