Kamaldeep Singh Nabbed in Spain Visa Scam

Arrest Made After 300-km Chase from IGI to Kurukshetra

by Ananya Mehta

In a major crackdown on international visa fraud, Kamaldeep Singh, a 25-year-old resident of Amritsar, has been arrested by IGI Airport police for attempting to send three individuals to Spain using forged Schengen visas and fake flight tickets.

The three victims, hailing from Punjab, were caught at Delhi’s IGI Airport after their documents were flagged as counterfeit. They had reportedly paid Rs17 lakh each for promised jobs in Spain.

After the trio’s arrest, Kamaldeep fled and went into hiding. However, police tracked him down after a 300-kilometre chase and arrested him in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

Authorities say the case is part of a growing trend in illegal immigration rackets. Investigations are ongoing to trace additional suspects and victims linked to this scam.
