The Kallambalam police on Monday arrested Vinod (37) of Kadakkode in connection with the theft of construction materials intended for national highway development works.

According to police, large quantities of steel pipes, iron rods, and sheets, weighing approximately 2,500 kg, were stolen on December 31 from various storage locations at Navayikkulam, 28th Mile, and Thattupalam. These materials were part of ongoing NH construction projects.
