Kalia Kalet Held for Killing Rinku Over Drug Trade Feud

Rinku stabbed to death in Sambalpur; drug link probed

A 25-year-old man, Mohammad Rinku, also known as Madua and Chhotu, was stabbed to death on Wednesday in what police believe was a drug trade-related murder.

The incident took place near Babu liquor shop in Bhutapada, Orampada, falling under Dhanupali police limits. Rinku, a resident of Gualapada in Motijharan, was critically injured in the attack and rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Following a swift investigation, police arrested the main accused —
Kalia Kalet (30), a resident of Bank Colony near Sambalpur court. He was produced in court and has been remanded to Sambalpur Circle Jail.

According to Rinku’s brother, Mohammad Saif, the victim had a verbal altercation with Kalia four days prior to the murder, possibly connected to turf disputes in the local drug trade.
