Belagavi: Camp police have arrested three people, including a minor, for the murder of 53-year-old Anjana Daddikar, who was allegedly killed over a financial dispute. The accused also allegedly stole gold jewellery worth Rs 1.7 lakh from the victim.
According to police, the main accused Jyoti Bandekar, a resident of Belagavi city, had borrowed money from Anjana Daddikar. When Daddikar demanded the repayment, Bandekar, along with her daughter Suhani Bandekar and their minor son, allegedly murdered her.
After committing the crime, the accused reportedly fled with jewellery valued at approximately Rs 1.70 lakh. Following an investigation, Belagavi Camp police traced and arrested all three accused.
A case has been registered at the Camp Police Station, and further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and recover remaining evidence.
