A juvenile has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a double shooting that occurred during a high school football game in southwest Louisville last fall. The incident took place on the night of September 29, 2024, in the parking lot of Pleasure Ridge Park High School. Around 8 p.m., police responded to gunfire and discovered a teenage boy with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UofL Hospital in critical condition and later died on October 8. A second juvenile victim arrived separately at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after the shooting, 22-year-old Damon Jerome Williams Jr. of Louisville was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. However, the murder suspect remained at large until this week.

On Tuesday, authorities arrested a juvenile, charging him with both murder and assault. Court documents reveal that surveillance footage captured the juvenile and an accomplice initiating the shootout. Additionally, DNA evidence collected at the scene matched the arrested suspect, further tying him to the crime.

The case remains under investigation as law enforcement continues to examine the full scope of the shooting and the involvement of any additional individuals.
