TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A local man was quickly apprehended after robbing a 71-year-old woman at a gas station on the morning of Friday, August 22, 2025, Titusville Police Department officials reported.
Justin Robert Pintner, 43, a convicted felon from Titusville, faces charges of Strong-arm Robbery, Attempted Carjacking, Battery on a person over 65 years of age, and Grand Theft.
The incident took place at approximately 9:38 a.m. in the parking lot of the Sunoco Gas Station at 1390 Garden Street. According to preliminary investigations, Pintner confronted the victim, demanding her purse, car keys, and vehicle. After a brief struggle, he managed to take her purse, which contained keys and personal items. Thankfully, the victim was not physically harmed.
A coordinated multi-agency search ensued. Less than 90 minutes later, officers located Pintner hiding in a nearby wooded area at around 10:53 a.m. He was arrested without incident, and the victim’s stolen belongings were recovered and returned.
The operation involved Titusville Police patrol units, K9 teams, detectives, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office aviation unit. Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson praised the quick, collaborative effort, saying, “With the swift work of our officers and partners, the suspect, who preyed upon a vulnerable victim, has been brought to justice. This arrest is a clear reminder of our commitment to provide our citizens a city where they feel safe.”
Pintner was booked into Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.
