Justin Phillips Arrested for Meth and Concealed Weapon

Scottsville man faces multiple drug and weapon charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. — A Scottsville man has been arrested following the issuance of an active indictment warrant.

Police say 26-year-old Justin A. Phillips was taken into custody Friday afternoon. During the arrest, Phillips was found in possession of methamphetamine, which he reportedly attempted to discard, as well as a concealed weapon.

As a result, Phillips now faces additional charges, including:

Possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (third or subsequent offense, specifically methamphetamine)

Carrying a concealed weapon

Tampering with physical evidence

Possession of drug paraphernalia

The Scottsville Police Department was assisted in the arrest by the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Phillips is being held pending further legal proceedings. As always, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
