LEWISTON, ID — Justin Lee Rock, a 40-year-old man from Lewiston who recently evaded authorities, has been arrested and is now in custody at the Nez Perce County Jail, the sheriff’s office confirmed Sunday evening.
Rock was wanted on multiple charges, including felony witness intimidation, misdemeanor stalking, and domestic battery. He failed to appear in court on June 17 for a scheduled hearing related to the felony charge and had been out on bond.
On July 1, deputies spotted Rock camping at Red Bird Beach, located about 10 miles up the Snake River from Asotin on the Idaho side. When law enforcement attempted to arrest him, he fled on foot—barefoot and dressed only in yellow swim trunks and a gray shirt—disappearing into thick canyon brush.
Despite hours of searching, Rock initially evaded capture. The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office did not disclose the exact time or location of his eventual arrest but confirmed he is now in custody.
Authorities have not released additional details about the arrest, and the investigation remains ongoing.
