JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Justin Gillespie, a 39-year-old man with active warrants, was taken into custody by the Janesville SWAT team on Sunday.
The Janesville Police Department released details stating that officers were called to the 2000 block of South Osborne Avenue after learning that Gillespie, who had active warrants from both Janesville and Beloit Police Departments, was in the area. When Gillespie allegedly failed to comply with officers on the scene, the Janesville SWAT team was called in to assist, ultimately apprehending him inside a home.
Gillespie is facing several charges related to his active warrants, including:
Manufacture/Delivery of Cocaine
Child Neglect
Retail Theft
Felony Bail Jumping
He is currently being held at the Rock County Jail. At this time, no further information has been released.
