A man has been arrested in connection with a violent assault at a Rufus Du Sol concert in Los Angeles that left a woman unconscious and two others injured.

Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala, 23, was taken into custody on Thursday by Pasadena police on suspicion of assault.

The arrest follows a viral video shared by music news account Festive Owl, which shows a man repeatedly punching a woman in the crowd. Bystanders can be seen stepping in to stop the attack, while the woman lies motionless on the ground. Her fiancé, who tried to protect her, was also injured.

Authorities said the incident occurred on August 16, 2025, during a show at the Rose Bowl. According to police, the violence began after a drink was accidentally spilled, causing the suspect to become enraged.

Pasadena Police received multiple 911 calls around 8:30 p.m. about an assault in the seating area.

“A male suspect became agitated after a drink was spilled and assaulted three victims to varying degrees,” the department said in a statement.

Thanks to tips from the public and video evidence, Zavala was identified and arrested.

The primary victim had traveled from Phoenix to attend the concert and is reportedly recovering. Police said Zavala fled the scene after the incident, but was located after a days-long investigation.
