LAREDO, Texas – A 31-year-old Laredo man is facing robbery charges after allegedly stealing razor blades from a Family Dollar and injuring an employee who tried to stop him.
Police said Juan Antonio Trevino was caught on camera at the Family Dollar on San Bernardo Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 27. According to authorities, Trevino grabbed multiple razor blades and attempted to leave the store.
When an employee confronted him, the two reportedly began shoving each other. Trevino allegedly pushed the employee to the ground, causing an injury to her left arm.
Trevino was later located and arrested. During questioning, he reportedly told officers that he needed the razor blades to shave.
He has been charged with robbery, a second-degree felony, and remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
