LAREDO, Tex. — A Laredo man was arrested Sunday after attempting to steal a kitchen appliance at a Walmart store and being found with outstanding warrants.
Officers responded around 10 p.m. to the Walmart on the 4400 block of South U.S. Highway 83 following a theft report. Surveillance footage reportedly showed 52-year-old Juan Tomas Soliz attempting three times to leave the store with a Ninja kitchen appliance before being stopped and escorted to the store’s loss prevention office.
During the investigation, authorities discovered Soliz had an active warrant from the Webb County Sheriff’s Office for burglary of a vehicle and theft of property.
Soliz was taken into custody and booked into the Webb County Jail.
