HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) — The Holyoke Police Department has arrested 49-year-old Juan Coriano, who is accused of stealing packages from residents’ homes across the city.

On October 1, officers responded to a report of package thefts at a home on Hampden Street. After reviewing evidence, police identified Coriano as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Days later, a social media post featuring a photo allegedly showing Coriano stealing more packages in the Sargent Street area alerted investigators.

Acting on this tip, officers located Coriano near Hampshire and Maple Streets on Tuesday, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Coriano now faces larceny charges in connection with the series of residential package thefts.

Authorities thanked the public for sharing information that helped track down the suspect and reminded residents to stay alert and report suspicious activity.
