Two men have been charged with false imprisonment and grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent following a rapid investigation by Essex Police.
Joy Singarajah, 29, and Shadon Balamanogaran, 22, both from Walthamstow, London, were arrested Friday evening, April 25, at a Colchester address. The arrests came just hours after a reported assault earlier in the day.
Detectives from Colchester CID, in collaboration with local officers, responded swiftly to the incident, which allegedly took place at a residential property in the city.
Both men have been charged and remanded in custody. They are scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 28.
Police have not released details about the victim or the motive,but confirmed that the investigation remains active.
