Josiah Rodriguez Arrested for Fresno Home Shooting

18-year-old gang member charged in July Clay Avenue shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno police arrested 18-year-old Josiah Rodriguez in connection to a home shooting that occurred on July 30th near Clay Avenue and 9th Street.

Officers responded shortly after a ShotSpotter alert before 1:30 a.m. and discovered a home struck by multiple bullets, along with several spent casings at the scene.

Investigators reviewed footage showing a vehicle reversing toward the home, with a male suspect stepping out and firing shots. The Felony Assault Unit identified the suspect as Josiah Rodriguez, an active gang member on felony probation for carjacking.

Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident by the Adult Compliance Team. While police impounded his vehicle for evidence, the firearm used in the shooting was not recovered.

Rodriguez faces multiple gun-related charges as the investigation continues.
