SOUTHERN PINES, NC — A Southern Pines man, Joshua Rayman, 37, has been arrested and is facing multiple charges related to offenses involving minors, according to the Southern Pines Police Department.
Rayman faces charges including statutory sexual offense with a child, second-degree forcible sex offense, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police reported that on October 8, they received a tip that Rayman had allegedly provided alcohol and illegal drugs to underage females and subsequently sexually assaulted at least one victim. Investigators later identified additional offenses allegedly committed by Rayman.
Rayman appeared before a Moore County magistrate on October 16 and was booked into the Moore County Detention Center without bond.
The Southern Pines Police Department acknowledged the assistance of the Moore County District Attorney’s Office, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Moore County Department of Social Services, and the Child Advocacy Center of North Carolina in the investigation.
