San Jose Man Arrested in Triple Homicide That Shook Oak Grove
SAN JOSE, CA — A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a triple homicide that occurred early Tuesday morning at a home in San Jose’s Oak Grove neighborhood, authorities confirmed Wednesday.
The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) said Joseph Vicencio, a resident of San Jose, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody on Wednesday. He has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on multiple murder charges.
The shooting happened around 12:26 a.m. Tuesday. Officers responding to multiple 911 calls found three people shot—two women and one man. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were rushed to the hospital, where they later died.
According to police, Vicencio fled the scene before officers arrived. A coordinated effort between homicide detectives, plainclothes officers, and the department’s tactical unit led to his swift arrest within 24 hours.
“Our detectives acted swiftly, working around the clock to put this violent suspect behind bars,” said Police Chief Paul Joseph. “But that doesn’t change the fact that three innocent lives were taken.”
The motive behind the attack remains under investigation. The names of the victims will be released by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office.
