WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. — A Bonifay man is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop near the Washington County/Holmes County line early Sunday morning.
Deputies stopped 52-year-old Joseph Matthew Crowder at approximately 4:30 a.m. and noted his nervous behavior. A K9 unit was deployed, which gave a positive alert for narcotics inside Crowder’s vehicle.
A joint search conducted by deputies from Washington and Holmes County uncovered a cigarette pack containing a clear plastic baggie with a crystallized substance, along with drug paraphernalia. Tests confirmed the substance was methamphetamine.
Crowder was arrested and taken to the Holmes County Jail, where he now faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
