CHESTER, S.C. – A Chester man will spend the next eight years in prison after being found guilty of child sex crimes.
Joseph Gary Landry, 69, was convicted on Feb. 27, 2025, for two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Case & Sentencing Details
Landry was arrested in 2023 after authorities determined he had inappropriately touched a minor on multiple occasions.
A jury found him guilty, leading to his eight-year prison sentence for each count, which will run concurrently.
He will also be required to register as a sex offender and will be monitored by GPS upon release.
Law enforcement officials continue to encourage victims of child sexual abuse to come forward to ensure justice is served.
