Jose Bueno Garcia Pleads Guilty in Ventura Drug Case

Van Nuys man admits role in fentanyl trafficking operation

A Van Nuys man has pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge related to his role in leading a fentanyl trafficking operation, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.

Jose Trinidad Bueno Garcia, 50, entered the guilty plea on December 17 in Ventura County Superior Court. He admitted to felony conspiracy to possess fentanyl for sale and acknowledged several special allegations tied to the case.

Prosecutors said the admitted allegations include the involvement of a large quantity of fentanyl and the use of sophisticated methods to carry out the crime. Authorities described the operation as a coordinated drug trafficking effort.

Bueno Garcia is scheduled to be sentenced on January 21. Further details about the sentence have not yet been released.
